The following differs from the official FINA version. Differences are:
-the 20-24 age groups, male/female are unofficial
-the 80-99 relay age group is unofficial
-all 4x100 and 4x200 relays are unofficial.

There are 36 differences (48 18 mths ago) beyond those unofficial records.
They are indicated with an * in the listings.

The differences pertaining to Canadians are:
Women SC 30-34 Lynn Marshall 17:21.99,
LC 50-54 Dianne Foster 2:28.02 and 5:10.57,
90-94 Marjorie Anderson 4:09.92 BK, all not ratified, due to late reporting.

In the last 6 months, Canadians have lost 2 WR's:
Catherine Kerr 75-79 50 fly 53.84 and 200 im 4:12.90, both LC 96.

In addition, Bruce Robertson broke the WR in the 100 IM 45-49, but then
lost it to relatively unknown Tom Reudy of the US.

Also as noted earlier, two WR's set by Dianne Foster over free LC were not
ratified by FINA (missed the 60-day reporting period). The official marks
are a shade slower at 2:28.11 and 5:11.22.

Doris McEwan set a WR at 47.69 for 50 bk, but Willy van Rysel had an earlier,
faster but unrecognised time.

However Canadians did break 12 new WR's in the period, and they are:

Bonnie Pronk 1:29.11 100 br LC 55-59
Jack Kelso 4 (Four) WR's at Nepean SC 60-64
John March 2 at the same meet, 50 and 100 bk 45-49
Dianne Foster had 3 more WR's all ratified at 200-400-800 free SC
Judie Oliver had 1 in the 400 IM 7:01.55
Doris McEwan had another one at 100 IM 1:47.56

This all means that as at Nov 1, 99, Canadians held 29 WR (not counting
those for 20-24, 80+ relays, and 400 and 800 relays):

Lynn Marshall 9:16.82 free
Judy Woodward 1:18.85 br
Dianne Foster 2:24.43 5:02.03 10:23.48 10:36.52 free

That's 7 for Marjorie, 5 for Jack Kelso and 5 for Dianne Foster who has
2 more unrecognised ones.

These 12 record holders are from BC 7, Ont 4, Que 1. So that BC owns
23 WR's, Ont 5, Que 1. At the moment, Catherine Kerr is left with no WR,
probably for the first time in the last 15 years.

The level of World records is now over 86 000 pts. Among the many achieve-
ments of last year, worthy of note is the new WR by Clay Britt 27.60 for
50 back, breaking the record held by Thompson Mann at 28.04 since 1978, a
record that stood 21 years.

In earlier times, Thompson Mann was the first man to swim 100 back in
1 minute flat, before going under in 1964 (relay lead-off).
